Influencia dos parametros de deposição nas propriedades do revestimento de liga zinco/cobalto

RESUMO

Zinc alIoy coatinKS have found large application in the metal finishin!t industry, particularly for coating automotive parts. In this work the deposition process was characterized by cyclic voltammetry in order to identify the range of deposition potential of the alloy"and its constituents. Then, variations of deposition parameters and of bath composition were simulated in order to study the -influence on the coating properties. The plating bath presented good stability and low sensibility to variations usually observed in the industrial production. Hull cellexperiments shown that, despite the deliberated changes in bath composition, cobalt concentration in the alloy is always within the range of 0,6% to 1,6%. Recornmended values are ftom O,90tIo to 1;2%. Salt spray tests shown tbat the Zn-Co coatin&.lasted 500 h of test and in the optimum deposition conditions, 720 h was obtained
