RESUMO

Cosmic ray is influenced by solar, geomagnetic and atmospheric phenomena. In this Thesis are presented studies with the cosmic ray data regarded by the CARPET detector, which is installed in the Argentinean Andes, between 2006 and 2008. The variations in the cosmic ray count rate related to rain, temperature, atmospheric pressure and atmospheric electric field change, as well as solar and geomagnetic phenomena have been studied. The study and removal of the temperature effect on cosmic ray intensity was studied using four different methods: three empirical and the other based on pion decay. The integral method presented the best removal of the temperature effect, enhancing the 11 and 22-year solar cycle related variations. The 11-year and 22-year cosmic ray intensity variations were analyzed by comparing with the sunspot number and the Moscow neutron monitor count rate. The cosmic ray intensity regarded by CARPET presented a good correlation with both. The analysis of the short period increases of the cosmic ray count regarded by the lower energy channels of the CARPET during rainy periods indicated a strong influence of the atmospheric electric field in these increases.
