RESUMO

Measurements of initial magnetic susceptibility and initial magnetic permeability aftereffect were performed in a set of amorphous metallic ribbons of nominal composition FexCo75-xSi15B10 (2 £ x £ 40). The observed behaviors for the susceptibility curves as a function of the external agents applied in the samples (tensile stresses, DC magnetic field, thermal treatments) are described in terms of a phenomenological model developed for the susceptibility by domain rotation. Such model takes in account several terms for the anisotropy energy in amorphous materials. Aftereffect measurements confirm some results obtained from the interpretation of the proposed model, indicating several influences of the anisotropy terms in the magnetization processes. The same experimental procedure was used to study the magnetization processes in ribbons with the same composition (Fe4.6Co70.4Si15B10) produced with different quenching rates. It is possible to have an idea about the influence of the initial degree of amorphicity in the structural relaxation kinetics. Besides that, measurements performed in amorphous wires indicate the main magnetization processes in these materials, where the local anisotropies distribution is much more defined than in the ribbon s case
