RESUMO

The current dissertation analyses the existent relation between the painted body,while dynamic support, and the graphic corpus, like the structure used by paintersartists of the Olivenças Tupinambá Society (Ilhéus-Bahia) in the development of the ornamental poetic. For this, one fieldwork was made in the period between 2003 and 2006, when were collected informations about the techniques, materials, processes and individual and collective funds by these painters-artists from Acuípe de Cima, Serra do Padeiro and Olivença nucleus, well as about the pictorial-graphic elements presents in the manifestations, parties and celebrations by this ethnic group. The registers and interviews were made by the photographic and audiovisual documentation, respectively, since the direct observation of the ornamental practices even the interaction by the collect of the free draws produced by the paintersinformers and that were catalogued and classified to favor the reading of the basic elements, of the diverse categories of the draws and of your correspondent graphic derivative forms by the iconographic method. The bibliographic research, by the way, had as goal the analyses of the studies about the body ornamentation developed in the Brazil, well as the analyses about historical aspects lived by the Tupinambá in the Brazilian coast since the first centuries of the conquest even the Olivenças Indians history that afterwards passed to adopt this ethnic denomination and to reconstruct your ethnic identity by so-called liaison with this Indian society. The body paint of the Olivenças Tupinambá, this form, is inserted in the social life of this group serving to it like an instrument in the configuration of one visual politics that objective to establish the difference in the process of cultural transformation denominated genesis ethnic.Hence, the research shows that the draws, standards and graphic compositions cried, seized and/or renowned by the Olivenças Tupinambá express your ideological posture by the visual quality with that the support-body is established in front of theother in the production of the identity and a singular poetics.
