RESUMO
Impressions: Instances of Absences and Presences is the title of the dissertation accomplished to the Masters degree in Visual Arts, at the Escola de Belas Artes of the Universidade Federal da Bahia, in the research line of Visual Processes, in the period from march of 2000 to February of 2002. The text exposes the artistic resources that base the creation of the poetic Absents / Presents, resources those that join techniques, theories and materials that dialogue with the concept impression. It stands out, the importance of the semantics in the ambiguous game of the polarities to identify the symbolic diversity of the action of printing and your digressions. Like this, the word condenses conceptual and visual senses in one point, making possible the capture of the moments when absents become present, or when presents become absent.
