Importância da brincadeira no desenvolvimento infantil segundo professores de pré-escolas (Teresina-PI)

RESUMO

In this study, the pre-school teachers conception about toy and playtime and the relations they establish between the play and the child development were investigated. A questionnaire was used as procedures means applied to a sample constituted by 117 preschool teachers of the state public teaching network of Teresina-Piauí. The questionnaire was composed of questions related to the importance of playing in the child development and to the insertion of the toy (object) and of fun time in the pre-school pedagogical activities. The results revealed that playing is an important activity in the conception of all the responders. However, they expressed different conceptions in relation to the importance of playing in the child development. Most of the teachers expressed a conception of playing in one moment for recreation or physical activity and in other moment playing as seduction while resource used in teaching. The results were discussed based on theoretical references about the link of playing and the child development which shows the importance of these kinds of knowledge in the formation of the child education professionals
