This work fits into the recent production about international migration to Brazil and about the demography of minorities in this country, focusing in the Jewish migration and the Jewish community it has originated. The 1940 to 1991 censuses were used also to track the trajectory of Jews in the Brazilian society. The Jewish case was a reference to map urban migrations in general to Brazil, especially those registered after the 1920s. Demography of Jews was used as. a reference to understand the demographic trends of the major religious groups of Brazil in the last decades.
