RESUMO

The internet and its surroundings may offer a great number of research themes. Some of them refer to the relation subject-information, ways to access, filing processes and usages. In relation to this matter, this research tends to collaborate in proposing new forms to organize the researcher information by means of digital libraries. This research object was to analyze how the digital libraries can be used by researchers and researcher groups in order to aim the knowledge organization in digital form and the preservation of the researchers scientific patrimony. The methodology used for this research was exploratory. The results presented here point to the existence of a great number of digital libraries projects. Although we are conscious of obstacles for the establishment of digital libraries, concluding this work we understand that the usage of digital libraries may occur intending the guard and the preservation of digital objects used and produced during individual and small groups researches.
