Historiadores da educação brasileira: gerações em diálogo

Resumo: Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar os aspectos relacionados com a formação inicial dos historiadores da educação brasileira. Para tanto, foram identificados 731 pesquisadores que se encontram distribuídos em cinco gerações, quais sejam: a primeira de 1838 até 1910, a segunda de 1911 até 1965; a terceira de 1966 até 1980, a quarta de1981 até 2000 e finalmente a quinta geração que vai de 2001 a 2019. A partir da análise dos dados coletados chegamos às seguintes considerações: os historiadores da educação brasileira têm a sua origem de formação oriunda, prioritariamente, dos cursos de graduação em pedagogia e em história, tendo ocorrido um intenso processo de ‘feminização’ a partir da segunda geração, verificando-se esta predominância quantitativa especialmente na quinta geração.Abstract: This paper analyzed the formation profile of Brazilian History of Education researchers, beginning the discussion with the identification of the belonging of these professionals to the diverse generations of historians in this field. In this study, for the intended analysis, 731 historians were identified and distributed into five generations of the Brazilian History of Education: the first, from 1838 to 1910; the 2nd, from 1911 to 1965; the 3rd, from 1966 to 1980; the 4th, from 1981 to 2000; and, finally, the 5th generation, from 2001 to the present. From these data, it was possible to infer the following considerations: the Brazilian historians of Education have their origins in professional training mainly at Pedagogy and History undergraduate programs, and an intense process of “feminization” has taken place, starting from the 2nd generation, which stands out quantitatively in a special mode in the 5th generation.
