Gestão Participativa : um estudo de caso em uma escola pública de Curitiba

RESUMO

This object of study in this essay is participative management in elementary schools, under the assumption that this is a basic requirement for building citizenship in schools. For this, were established as objectives: analyze what kind of administration guides management in schools and identify significant elements related to participative management, in order to present subsidies for the education of school managers. This is a research with a qualitative approach, carried out as a case study in a public school, in the city of Curitiba. Experimental data were obtained by means of semi-structured interviews and analyses of documents from the school. The study gives evidence that participative management is realized in schools quotidian lives when it results from a true involvement of its internal and external communities, i.e., when there is a true engagement of all those involved with conducting the educational process. This involvement could be noticed in the school under research in different practices carried out by the board, by the pedagogical and teaching teams, and by the childrens parents. The 21st century rises full of surprises and questions, and among them, how should education be and what should be expected from it? How should educators education processes be carried out with respect to management? In this process it is essential to contemplate education towards participative management because it is only possible to contribute to the upbringing of human beings as ethic, critic and transforming citizens by means of the construction of collective processes that propitiate democratic relationships within the school and more solidary and cooperative forms of directing apprenticeship. For this, it necessary to always value the human being, as well as collective constructions, without losing sight of individual differences, school communities characteristics, their necessities and expectations, and clearly know what the goals are, in a continuous process of construction of a more human and, therefore, more equitable society.
