RESUMO

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between People Management and Quality of Work Life (QWL) at the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District CLDF, with the intention of understand if the model of People management at the CLDF promote QWL for their workers. For the Theoretical reference, it was used The Ergonomics of Activity and, for the method, the Ergonomic Analysis of Work - EAW, added of scales (forms), free observation, photographic records, measurements and semi-structured interviews. The research enclosed 359 public employees and seven managers. The results pointed that the use of model of People Management is a vertical lined one, in which there is no space for the employees participation on decisions. They reported problems on conditions, organization and partnership relations at work; as the managers told that they consider the CLDF, in general terms, satisfactory. This shows the mismatch between these hierarchic levels and the necessity of a new view thought about the on use Management model.
