RESUMO

Among medical arboreous species candeia (Eremanthus erythropappus Mac Leish) has many useful purposes. Nowadays its mainly product of interest is its oil extracted from the whole plant that and that contains alfa-bisabolol. This active principle is largely used in the pharmaceutical industry and cosmeceutica. The alfa-bisabolol purified has its market value of US$ 60.00/kg. The purpose of this work was to stabelish a protocol for seeds germination, callusgenesis induction and shoots and anatomical structures of leaves in vivo and in vitro comparison. The most efficient culture medium for seeds germination was WPM/4, with 93.75%. There was no difference between the explants used for callus inductions. MS medium without growth regulators did not promote callus induction. Picloram (isolated or combined with citocinin) was more efficient than 2,4-D in the callusgenesis process. In apical segments, BAP broke the tip dormancy of this explant and induct axial shoots formation. BAP and NAA interaction promote a higher number of shoots while NAA itself showed higher explants length. In nodal segments, the highest shoots length was verified in a medium plus NAA only. The plant leaves structures from in vivo environment showed uniseriate epiderm and thick cuticle. The mesophyl is built by two layers of palisade parenchyma organized and overlayed, and two or three layers of spongeous parenchyma, central nervure shows three collateral vascular bundle. The leaf is from hipostomatic type. It was verified one layer of palisade parenchyma in plants growing in vitro and three to four layers of spongeous parenchyma a little differentiate. Epiderms showed to be less thick than ones from in vivo culture. In the central nervure only one vascular bundle was formed. The leaf is from anfistomatic type.
