RESUMO

This work was developed with the purpose of studying the interfacial geometry and pressure drop in stratitied and annular horizontal flows. Droplet and non-droplet wavy flows were investigated. Experimental data were obtained in laboratory by using air and water as working fluids. Droplet process effects were considered in the modeling of the problem. Correlations predicting the wet wall fraction and the interfacial length, as well interfacial and liquid shear stresses, were proposed. A procedure to simultaneously predict the pressure drop and the void fraction was sugested. Numerical results were compared with the present experimental measurements and literature data
