RESUMO
60Co gamma rays can induce germination of the spores of the cellular slime mold, Dictyostelium discoideum, in the absence of heat shock, amino acids, or bacteria food source. About 65% amoebae emergence occurs by 13 hr after a dose of 180 krad.
