RESUMO

In the professional Soccer, to win is more that one goal, it is a necessity to survive. For a soccer coach, tactics informations are very important because the tactical dimension has reflected the biggest piece in the success of high performance players and theirs teams, in this sport. Nevertheless, coachs and specialists of this sport know that informations about tactics are the least investigated. This fact results in empirical actions, that affect directly the quality of the plan of the high performance soccer teams. When it does not miss with empirical actions, it stops in a numerical scientificism with simples manifestations that clash with the reality of the facts. In the direction to estabilish the understanding of the balance and unbalance tactical situations (that characterize teams, its successful and failure actions) and to search tools that allow to establish indicators that are reflected its (to infer adequately in the soccer training), the purpose of this work was the profound study of the tactical dimension of the game soccer in high performance teams, it is making use of quantitative and qualitative analysis (concepts, observations and discussions). Sixty one (61) professional soccer games (21 games of the World Cup FIFA of 2002,20 games of the Brazilian Championship of 2002 selected by picking and 20 games of the Sport Club Corinthians Paulista team of the Brazilian Championship of 2002) has been analysed by video recordings. The results had allowed to draw the dynamics and the events of the soccer games, that made easy the best understanding of their phenomena and they allowed practical changes in the training sessions. The gotten datas had pointed to the following characteristics: a) the Soccer is a game with passes, where the interception is the must recovery of ball that occurs; b) the ostensible scoring in the half offensive field appeared the most efficient in the ball recovery that allows the best attack oportunity; c) the imprevisibility of offensives sequences, or the biggest variation them is a important variable in the success of the teams; d) it is possible to draw a hypothetical way (an action sequence) that result in the opponent goal; e) the way is initiated with one correct defence, in a specific zone of the field, with the participation of a determined number of players and with excellent time to be covered
