RESUMO

Eight field trips were undertaken in two areas of Amazonia Rain Forest in the city of Porto Velho, RondÃnia: Parque Natural Municipal and EstaÃÃo EcolÃgica de CuniÃ, on February and July/2007 and February and July 2008. We collected 260 specimens of poroid fungi, representatives of seven families, 30 genera and 61 species. Fifty-five specimens were added from sporadic collections in two areas also in Porto Velho (Fazenda Mucuim and residence) and 20 from reviewed material of Hymenochaetaceae and Ganodermataceae deposited in the Instituto de BotÃnica of SÃo Paulo (SP), totalizing 72 species. Four species are new to science (Amauroderma sp. nov. 1, 2, 3 and Coltricia sp. nov.), while seven are new records for Brazil, 12 for the Amazonia region and 37 to RondÃnia. Polyporaceae was the family with the highest number of genera and species (20 and 34, respectively), followed by Ganodermataceae (two and 20) and Hymenochaetaceae (four and 10). All families were recorded in the two areas of study. Twenty-seven species were common to both areas, and the Parque Natural Municipal presented higher number of exclusive species (22, 12 for EstaÃÃo EcolÃgica de CuniÃ). We did not observe a significant difference in total species and specimens collected during the rainy season or dry. The specimens occurred more frequently in an intermediate stage of decomposition and less frequently in woods in early stage of decomposition. The specimens and species occurred more frequently in larger radius. Descriptions of families, genera and species, as well as key to identification the species are provided.
