RESUMO

A survey of conidial fungi associated a plant debris was performed in two Ãreas of Atlantic Forest fragment, Bahia State. In each area (A and B) collections were done in october/2005 to june/2006 of leaves, petioles, twigs and barks in parcels of 10 x 10m. The material was washed in tap water, incubated in most chamber and the fungal mounted in glass slides. For species identification the studied specimens are preserved at the HUEFS and URM, herbaria (Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana) and (Universidade Federal de Pernambuco). The results are described in four sections. In the first study, 64 taxa of fungi associated to leaf litter are presented, from which 11 taxa are new references to South America and one to Brazil.. In the second section, 47 taxa associated to branches and bark are presented: 17 of them are new references to South America and three to Brazil. In the third section four sporodochial species of Vermiculariopsiella were described: one constitute a new record for the State of Bahia and two are new records for South America. Descriptions, comments, geographical distribution and illustrations are presented mainly of the new Brazilian registers. In the fourth section, the similarity of fungi in the two studied areas is compared. In the total, 106 species distributed among leaves, petioles, twigs and barks were identified. Although with similar number of species, there was low similarity (25%) between the communities of conidial fungi of the two areas. The results indicate that the investigated fragment of Atlantic Forest is suitable for development of fungi
