RESUMO

This research was done in the Post-graduation Program on Education in the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB) tied to EduPesquisa research-group whose branch includes Education, State and Society. Considering that the actual society suffers continuous changes and at the same time requires transformations, the research appoints the necessity of understanding of the on-going formation specially on education. Therefore it aims to discuss the specific characters, the operation forms, including and limiting determined moments of on-going formation of read an write teachers to understand the very process. It strains to analyze the social representations of read and write teachers about the on-going formation promoting a confrontation of docent practice and on-going formation processes on the point of view of the actors themselves. The subjects are the read an write teachers of the municipal public net of schools from Lages - SC. The theoretical and methodological basis of this research is based on the Social Representation Theory whose precursor is SERGE MOSCOVICI. The approach between the social representations and education may reflect an effort to minimize the fragmentation s of the relations of theory and practice seeing students and teachers as beings which bring with themselves various experiences, desires and encouragements and that cannot be seen in a dissociated form the context where they are inserted. Therefore the on-going formation of the teacher is associated to his individual construction and the constructions of his pairs as well in a process where each one builds himself at the same time he builds the other one and the around world. The field research has five analyze categories: The teacher and his collectivity. The novelty in the teachers action. The know-how in the day-by-day at school. The teaching vocation and the action searching partners. The very core of the representation is in the category The teacher and his collectivity on account of the importance given by the teachers to the exchanges of experience, reinforcing that is by the collective that they are constituted. Trough the social representation it was possible to see the understanding of the group about the axis of ongoing formation settled by Antonio Novoa (1993), namely: The person of the teacher and his experience, the profession and his knowledge and the school and its projects
