RESUMO

(Floristic and phitossociology of and area of marginal savana (low savana), National Park of âSete Cidadesâ, PiauÃ). Aiming to contribute to the knowledge of the woody vegetation of the marginal savannas of the state of PiauÃ, it was made the floristic and structural caracterization of the vegetation from an area denominated âBaixa da Conradaâ (04Â08â78âS and 041Â42â45âW), in the city of âBrasileiraâ, PiauÃ, located in the inner part of the National Park of âSete Cidadesâ. In 30 parts, with the width of 10x20m (200m2), oriented towards the same direction, were taken amostrations from all the woody individuals which diameter, from the stem to the soil level (DNS) was ≥ 3cm. For the floristic amostrations plants from outside of the delimitated areas were collected. The total density was of 2,018.33 ind.ha-1. Medium and maximum heights and widths were 3.41m, 18.02m, 9.42cm and 84.67cm, respectively. The families with a higher number of species were: Fabaceae (12 species), Caesalpiniaceae (9) and Mimosaceae (7) making a total of 30.43% of the species collected. Though, in terms of IVI the mains families were: Combretaceae (15.91%) outnumbering the others, followed by the Mimosaceae (14.31%), Vochysiaceae (12.80%) and Caesalpiniaceae (9.08%), making a total of 52.1% from the total IVI. From the 77 colected species, Terminalia fagifolia Mart. ex Zucc, Qualea grandiflora Mart., Plathymenia reticulata Benth., Dimorphandra gardneriana Tul. and Qualea parviflora Mart. had the biggest IVIs. The Shannon diversity index for the species was of 3.421nats/ind
