RESUMO

The interest of this study arose from the professional practice of the researcher as a clinical nurse in an Emergency Care Service. It is observed that, generally, the nursing workers are concerned only with the immediate goal; do not show an interest in looking at long-term and of quality and neither visualize the care / work as a whole and therefore they find difficulties to promote the care based on a systemic view. The experiences, findings, uncertainties, concerns and willingness to find ways for nursing care, more and more qualified, served the incentive for the proposition of the research question: How do the factors of the ecosystem of the Emergency Care Service of the HU / FURG interfere in the care / nursing work? To find answers to this issue, the survey was aimed at knowing the factors of the ecosystem of the Emergency Care Service of the HU / FURG that interfere in the care / nursing work. The theoretical reference understood: The theory of the systems and the ecosystem, the hospital and the Emergency Care Service in the perspective of ecosystem and the work environment at the Emergency Care Service. As a methodology approach was used the research of the descriptive and exploratory type, with qualitative approach. The study was undertaken at the Emergency Care Service, University Hospital "Dr. Miguel Riet Correa Jr. located in the city of the Rio Grande, in extreme southern Rio Grande do Sul. In the study participated 11 nursing workers of the Emergency Care Service: nurses, technicians and nursing assistants, which encompassed the following inclusion criteria: to do part of the nursing staff of the Emergency Care Service for at least six months and agree to participate of research. The data collection was performed by the method of systematic observation of the physical environment in the months of January and February 2011 and the application of a questionnaire, arranged in a scale of the Likert type in the months of April and May 2011. The data captured both by the systematic observation, as by the questionnaire were analyzed using the technique of thematic analysis and grouped into five categories: profile of research subjects; ecosystem factors that prejudice the care in the Emergency Care Service; the interpersonal relationships between the teams of workers; motivation and satisfaction of nursing employees with work performed and the Emergency Care Service as a local to trigger the stress. Among the main factors that prejudice the service it stands out: inadequate sizing staffing, overwork, overcrowding, accumulation of tasks, lack of collegiality, ineffective communication, lack of awareness of colleagues to continue the service, lack of materials, space physical and equipments insufficient and inadequate. Some of these categories gave ride to two articles: Elements Abiotics that permeate in nursing care in the emergency service: ecosystemic vision and Interface of the interpersonal relations of the nursing team and the care to the user/client: ecosystemic vision. However, deserve to be mentioned as positive factors that cause motivation and satisfaction of the workers: cooperation among colleagues, effective participation of all, good rapport between the team, love for his profession, recognition and affection of the users. It was conclude that for an efficient and effective service the biotic and abiotic factors need to be adjusted to the purposes to be achieved in the space / territory / environment specific and seen in its entirety
