RESUMO

: Campinas City shows several points of inundation because many areas destined to overflow are ocupied by man. The form to avoid that new critic points appears and to eliminated the present points is to make a drainage management plan (DMP). The DMP is a correct and preventive planning process and it has three parts: basic, pratice and executive. The objective of drainage management is to guide the ocupation of areas not yet urbanization in drainage basin and to shows a plan of action will resolve the problems in some developing lands. The develope of drainage management plan need to work of many kinds of professional for example: sociologist, economist, engineer, lawyer, etc. This work is the basic part of drainage management plan and it is the principal part of it because the quality of informations on this part will determine the quality of all drainage plan. The basic part is making up of available data collection, historical and urban develop tendency of urban and populaton development, characterization of drainage basin, characterization and diagnosis of critical points of overflow analysis of available data collection and the priority of construtions. Campinas city has fourty areas of overflow and form to resolve these problems is the construction of drainage works or to carry out a program of incentive to free the occupied bottom lands, this process has to be management by DMP, so Campinas City needs it to avoid that new points of inundation appears and to manage the process of acquisition and use of financial resorts, this programs are describing in the pratic part and carryng out in the executive part of dranaige management plan...
