RESUMO

This study attempted to identify the potential of Game Workshops as a pedagogic practice, in a learning environment capable to interact with other disciplines, acting as a mediator of interpersonal relationships, and thereby providing indicators that the school is a pleasant place, assuring that the street knowledge is not blocked by the walls around the school. By its characteristics, this is an action-research approach study, as its theme focused on human behavior. A non-random sample of 46 year-two children was selected among a population of 700 children attending the Santa Catarina State Fundamental public network of education. The sample was composed by 20 boys and 26 girls, aging between 7 and 8 years. Several research tools were used, including: participatory observation, semistructured interviews, field note diary, photographs and oral and written notes. The research proposal aimed to investigate the influence of Game Workshops, as a pedagogic resource, inserting in Physical Education classes, specific context areas of knowledge. Working in class with subjects such as Portuguese, Mathematics and Arts, questioning techniques, exchange of ideas, observation, action and construction techniques were used, and this allowed children to exercise essential values such as aesthetics, respect, justice, solidarity and motricity, as well as, its repercussion in learning performance. This study aimed to articulate theory and practice, to indicate possibilities to reformulate our teaching practice.
