RESUMO
In Mathematics Education, the errors of students in the learning process, are focus of study by researchers. Error in many years, but was prevented, eliminated, because it is something bad. However, educational concepts were emerging and bringing different view of error: the natural process of learning that can be used as a tool of the student. The error may become important mediator, if understood and worked in a constructive manner. However surveys show that the error still has negative connotation because teachers do not know how to treat it. Researchers warn of the need for studies and strategies for something constructive. This work is investigating strategies of the teacher in front of errors or problems of students in the study of the equation 1 st Degree. The choice of subject is due to the fact that teachers of students reported difficulties with algebra. To this end, it was made a case study in constructivist school of Fortaleza, with class, 7 th year of teaching bases lI. The professor, research subject, has constructive vision of the error, and the remarks, uses strategies ahead of errors or problems of students. The analysis shows that the reflection of the error, environment, it is important tool for building the knowledge, making the difficulties sources of discoveries.
