RESUMO

This thesis aims to answer the following question: To what extent, or dimensions would be possible to define and describe the ethics of care as a useful concept in the field of psycho-social institutions and social education? Whereas to answer that question, there is the need of the interface between the psychology of human development, socialization processes about ethics and morals, as well as the possible relations involving the human activities directed at the institutions of care and pseudo care. Theoretically, this work is guided within a social interactions view, historical and cultural. Methodologically is characterized by qualitative and proposed research by theory and documental analyses. Basically, the final considerations highlight the contradictions between the statutory institutions, institutional practices, organizational and human activity, a contradiction with regard to contradictions between the will and the obligation in moral and ethical perspective
