RESUMO

Eletronic absorption and emission spectroscopies have been used to study spectral properties of dyes (uranin, erythrosin and rose bengal) in different systems such as polymer matrices (PVA, PVAc and PEG.600), organic liquid solvents (ethyl acetate, acetone, ethanol and dioxane) and aqueous solutions at different pH. Different forms of these dyes have been observed in aqueous solutions depending on the pH of the solution.
