Estudo de propriedades eletricas e caracteristicas fisico-quimicas do polipirrol obtido por sintese fotoquimica

RESUMO

The scientific and technological interest for the conducting polymers has increased for the fact of the possibility aplications in substitute to traditional metals. Emphasize the Polianilin, Politiofen, Poli(p-fenilen) and Polypyrrole and its derivatives. The Polypyrrole (PPy) can be obtained by chemistry synthesis, eletrochemistry and more recendy photochemicaly. It s applied ultraviolet radiation in monomer with photoinitiator solution. Photochemistry synthesis has been demonstrated to the promisied and advantajeous due to faster and cheaper and it generates less residues to the environrnent, thought PPy presents low values of electrical conductivity and mecanical properties. The present work has the objective to contribute with the development of the PPy obtained by photochemical synthesis, in this work was studied of factors as time and ultraviolet radiation, photoiniciador concentration, use of aromatics dopants (ptoluenosulfonic acid (APTS) dodesilbenzenosulfõnico acid (ADBS) and naftalenosulfOnico acid (ANS)) and respective relations with the electrical conductivity (paralIel plates method). Physic-chemistry caracterizations used wery: infi-a-red ray spectroscopy (FTIR/ATR), termogravimetricals analysis (TOA), diferential scaning calorimetry (DSC), X-Rayanalysis, scaning eletronic microscopy (SEM) and granulometrical analysis. Obtained very hard black powder of PPy stable until about 200°C. Results have show that the production of PPy is proportional to ultraviolet dose and photoinitieted concentration. Termograms had showed thermal degradation between 200 and 400°C with great residue until600 oCo The electrical conductivity tends to increase with the ultraviolet increase dose and for pure PPy it was of the order of 10-12 S/cm while that for PPy with APTS it was of 10-9 S/cm and PPy with ADBS of 10-10 S/cm in relation to the PPy with ANS (10-11 S/cm).
