RESUMO

Aligned multiwalled carbon nanotubes films were produced by Microwave Plasma on Si/SiO2, Ti/TiN and quartz substrates. Ni and Fe nanoparticles were used as catalyst. The morphology and crystalline structures of the samples were analyzed by high resolution electron microscopy and by Raman spectroscopy. The Raman spectra have presented strong dependence on diameter distribution and type of structural defects. Field emission measurements were carried out in diodetype equipment with parallel plate configuration, which revealed values from 1 to 3V/mm for turn-on field. Good stability was verified for currents of 10-6 A.
