RESUMO

NI - FE coatings with different FE concentrations were obtained by electrodeposition. Their electrochemical properties and some applications were studied. The composition and structure of the electrodeposits were determined by micropobe and X-Ray diffraction respectively. The electrochemical behaviour of the samples was analysed using their voltammograms in the deposition solution, in H IND.2 S O IND.4 (0,05 N) and in KOH (6M) solutions. The coatings with 50% FE present catalytic properties for the oxigen and hydrogen reactions. The NI- FE deposits with low FE concentration are more corrosion resistant in acid soluction than the NI electrodeposits
