RESUMO

The reactions of tetramesithyldisilene with As4 and of 1,1,2.2-tetramethyl-1.2-bis(phenylethynil)disilane with transition metal complexes were studied. Tetramesithyldisilene reacted with As4 to give a remarkable mixture of arsadisilacyclopropyltriarsadisilabyciclopentane [As4Si4Me8] 19, and diarsadisilabicyclobutane [As2Si2Mes4] 20, as well as small amounts of a bi(arsadisilacyclopropane [As2Si4Mes8] 21 and bi(triarsadisiIabiasterane) [As6Si4Mes8] 22. The diarsadisilabicyclobutane 20 can be alternatively synthesized by thermolysis of compound 10. All the products were characterized by H, Si (H) NMR, mass spectrometry and microanalyses. Furthermore, the structures of 19, 21, and 22 were confirmed by single crystals X-rays analyses. The heterocycles [As4Si4Me8] 19 and [As2Si2Mes4] 20, behaved as potential ligands for transition metaIs complexes. The compound [As2Si2Mes4] reacted with [Pt(C2H4)(PPh3)2] to afford an arsenide type complex by insertion of the platinum atom into the As-As bond. Furthermore[As2Si2Mes4] and [As4Si4Me8] reacted with W(CO)5 THF to give the mono-tungsten pentacarbonyl adducts, W(CO)5 [As2Si2Mes4] 24 e W(CO)5 [As4Si4Me8] 25. The reaction of the alkynildisilane, 1,1,2,2 tetramethyl-1.2-bi(phenylethynil)disilane 27 with the Platinum (O) compound [Pt(C2H4)dppf] was also investigated and afforded thermally stable mono and nuclear complexes.IR and H, P e C NMR techniques suggested that the transition metal is bonded to the disilane by the alkyne group in a h-type coordination.
