RESUMO
ABSTRACT The Tolima soft drink factory pioneered the introduction of industrial language in the architecture of Ibagué city in the mid-twentieth century. In spite of its demolition, in its vestiges we can recognize the adaptations of the principles of the schools of modern architecture in the local context. In addition, it was the trigger for the urban development of the north of the city between 1950 and 1980. Its study allows to understand the existing dynamics between the territory destined to the dwelling and its articulation with the industrial production. The research presents the digital discovery and retrieval of the historical cartography of the Interlaken neighborhood, along with its reconstruction and urban-architectural genesis in relation to the soda factory. The study of its ruins led to its virtual restitution through the use of notarial sources and oral survey. Finally, a controversy arises between the ethical and aesthetic relations of the urban planning and industrial patrimony.
