RESUMO

Individual Protection Equipment The aim of this study is to measure the area filled with quality in the strategies of competition of the companies in the segments of IPE (individual Protection Equipment) and the dimensions of quality which is a privilege in the perception of professional entrepreneurs in the area. They try to show that offering high quality products is an important condition for the performance of the company and their follow up in the market. In order to reach this aim it is important to have true perception of the main features of the segment. As far as the characterization of the company is concerned, size, number and characteristics of their products should be taken into consideration. The development of this study has been made on the basis that the dynamics and the competitiveness in the segment is still due to unjustified carelessness regarding the importance of quality of the IPE (Individual Protection Equipment). For most purchasers the IPE is a cost of work. Price is still a decisive factor at the time of buying. On the other hand, IPE makers don t still recognize the importance of investing in the product development and in the increasing of quality ahead of what is required by law. Many managers are aware of the necessary care about the making and about the finishing of the products in order to avoid irretrievable damage to the user. A lot of progress has been made in the field research. From the managerial point of view the main reason for investing in quality comes from the benefits which are expected as a result of the increase of productivity, cost reduction, better performance of the product and better satisfaction which will certainly result in the sales increase. It will also facilitate the international trade as it provides garantee of quality under criteria which are recognized in the whole world. The perception of such advantages has motivated the IPE companies to invest in the development of products and methods having best quality as the most important goal
