RESUMO

This work intends to analyze the regulation strategies of Health Unique System in Brazil. The fundamental question is: which regulation strategies of health system were applied by the federal manager of SUS. The period analyzed was1996 to 2002. The work focalize the Brazilian health system regulation. The purpose of the author was described and analyzed the health system regulation strategies. The influence of State Managerial Reform was identified. The regulatory mechanisms evolution was described. The regulation instruments were analyzed. The regulation trends were identified.
