RESUMO

This study focuses on: (1) understanding how Brazilian firms manage their relationships with firms for foreign countries; (2) determining the success factors of these cross-national business alliances; and (3) implementing a successful international strategy. This project is part of a multi-country study which is being sponsored by major universities in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico and the USA, and firms from all these countries will be participating in this study. This study deals with Brazilian firms international strategy and the management of the Brazilian firms partnerships/alliances with foreign firms. The first part concerns the Brazilian firms relationships with foreign partners. The second part deals with the Brazilian firms international strategy.
