RESUMO

The considered work esteem, by means of data of multispectral images of the Landsat 5 - TM, vegetation indices, albedo, surface temperature surface and the balance of radiation of the city of Maceió relating them with the urban mesh. The city of Maceió, in last the 30 years, it had its intensified areal growth, that is, the substitution of green areas for a built urban zone, modifying the relief, waterproofing the ground, thus diminishing the participation of the flow of heat in the ground of the rocking of energy in the surface and increasing the flow of responsible sensible heat for the felt thermal sensation. Therefore, local changes caused by constructions and inadequate occupations had provoked alterations in the ambient urban comfort. The used images are composed for seven referring spectral bands the Landsat 5 - TM to days 11 of June of 1990, 21 of September of 1998 and 03 of September of 2003. The calculations had been carried through with the use of software ERDAS 8.5. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) presented average values of 0.188 for the year of 1990, 0.253 for 1998 and 0.242 for 2003. In accordance with the results had increase of the NDVI, what it could take the conclusion of that occurred an intensification of the vegetal covering. The surface albedo was of 12.06% for the year of 2003 followed by 9.95% for 1998 and 9.84% for 1990, being this the lowest value presenting if compared with the other years studied in the research. The temperature of the terrestrial surface estimate was bigger for the year of 1998 being of 26.96C the average value and for the years of 1990 and 2003 she was practically the same one, being of 24.19C and 24.90C respectively. The instantaneous values of the balance of radiation in the surface were lesser for the year of 1990 and with averages next between the years to 1998 and 2003. The gotten values had been: 586.35W/m2 for 1990, 763.06W/m2 for 1998 and 752.32W/m2 for 2003. For the attainment of a detailed evaluation more of the research it would be necessary to take in consideration the local topography for the use of the Digital Elevation Model - DEM.
