RESUMO

The use of Blogs in professional activities, including education, is a consolidated reality. However it is our concern to question how Blogs can be used in schools. From this observation arouse a question regarding if blogs can be used in teachers education as a complementary element to presential activities? This doubt originated the weblog Escolhendo a Pílula Vermelha [Choosing the Red Pill] to be used as a support tool in the educational process on Information and Communication Technologies of the educators from Bauru district, as a part of the project Educa Bauru, developed from the partnership between the company Planeta Educação and its Municipal Educational Ministry. The Blog Escolhendo a Pílula Vermelha was utilized as a tool for the development of an action-research, according to the work of Thiollent [2005]. The thesis also got support on bibliography research about the Information and Communication Technologies getting subsidy on the work of researchers such as Morin [2008], Moran [2008], Almeida [2008], Valente [2008] and Bianconcini Almeida [2008]. The thesis was, therefore, based on a case study and parallels with the movie The Matrix [1999], by directors Andy and Larry Wachowski, as a complement to its bibliographic and theoretical basis. The main and specific purpose was to verify the possibility of the Blog tool usage, due to its facilities on use and maintenance, among other aspects, as an instrument to complement teachers education on distant spots with the appreciation of educational contents, exchange of experiences and socialization of new theoretical subside is, therefore, the object of the present thesis
