RESUMO
It is common to hear from our students, especially in elementary school, complaint that they did not answer some written test question because they did not understand what was asked by the enunciating question. Nowadays in the education scenery, we can observe a major reflection about some concepts related to the evaluation process, with emphasis in the instruments used: the students did not answer the written test because they did not know the information about the topic studied in class or they did not answer what was asked because they did not understand the enunciating question? The enunciating question is not another text in the Portuguese class. But a text that will influence the final result. The written test the is one of the evaluation instrument traditionally firmed in our class practice is the target of many censure these last years; therefore, it is important to make a systematic analysis of this textual genre as: social function, formal structure, production condition, and the comprehension difficulty investigation. The research has qualitative base and has theoretical orientation in the comprehension process, textual genres, learning evaluation. Research show that comprehension troubles is stronger in elementary school; analyzing these data, we decided to make our investigation in this level. We developed our research in a public school where the written test is used as an evaluation instrument. We observed classes, particularly in days of written test application. The interview (students and teacher) and the analysis of the enunciating question gave us important information. The research indicated that most of the students have problems in vocabulary level. They donât know the meaning of some words, so they had trouble to solve some test questions. It is very important to teachers think about new activities using different vocabulary. Or we will analyse this problem with the assertive âstudents did not solve the test questions because they did not study to the test. It is important to emphasize that although we delimitated our investigation to this level, our work will give us a map of all the enunciating question comprehension problems that will help us in all levels, from the elementary school to college
