RESUMO

This work presents a comparative study of two authors of Portuguese language literature: Manoel de Barros from Brazil and Eduardo White from Mozambique. Of the first poet we chose his works: Gramática expositiva do chão, 1966 and Livro de précoisas, 1985, and for the second the attention was on Poemas da ciência de voar e da engenharia de ser ave, 1992 e Janela para o Oriente, 1999. The objective in the body of the critique and investigative work was verifying the intersection of the mythic space-time, as one of the determinative factors of limit and borders revisions to literary gender and the contribution of these poetic works to the field of theoretical-critical discussion in modernity. Some of the present vectors in the poetic work of these authors are: the use of meta-language, of poem in prose and poetic prose as orienteering principles of the proposal of gender revising.
