RESUMO

The purpose of this study is to investigate the parent`s perception about their teenager`s sons and analyze the resonances between generations. To get this objective, we carried out a bibliographie survey and a field study about this theme. The bibliography revision refers to family and teenagers theory and includes their notions since their conceptions until the contemporary characteristics. We discuss the influences of the contemporary world in the relation and bond manners in the teenager`s family mainly in a big urban center as Rio de Janeiro. The field study was realized with seven teenager`s couple parents. The interviews was characterized for to be present with both members and the ages of their sons are between 15 and 21 years old.
