RESUMO

This work presents a study about telephone networks routing plan assignment problems. Basically, two problems are studied: minimal cost routing plan assignment and optimal performance routing plan assignment. The junction network dimensioning problem is formulated as a multi-commodity minimal cost flux problem. The solution ofthis problem leads to a routing plan that optimizes the equipment cost of the network. The same problem is formulated, in a second aproach, using the Moe s principIe. A new method to determine the optimal state dependent routing for a telephone network is presented. The method is based on the Markovian decision process theory. The optimization is performed by simulating the network. The work also presents improvements for bloking models for telephone network traffics. Keywords: . Network Planning.
