RESUMO

The following study will present the boardings carried through by the “mato-grossense” historiographic production about the border with Paraguay, and the forms of education developed there, referring to the end of the XIX century until the first half of the XX century. The general goal is to analyze the interpretations of the first workmanship produced by the regional historiography about the border and the education. They are composed in two parts. The first one, intitled Border with Paraguay and education in the “mato-grossense” memorialists, describes a set of five memorialists and its boardings. The second one, called Border with Paraguay and education in the “mato-grossense” historiographic production analyze a set of four historians. All the authors had been analyzed separately and detached the respective singularities. The theory that guides the analysis is the science of history, as Marx conceived. Beyond the analyzed workmanships, historiography workmanships had been consulted, official documents and classic workmanships.
