RESUMO
RESUMO: A presente pesquisa examina os editoriais da revista Educação & Sociedade a partir de três recortes temáticos, a saber: Políticas públicas em educação; Planos Nacionais de Educação e Educação e mercado. Esses temas foram definidos a partir da leitura de todos os 144 editoriais, tendo como critérios a relevância e a recorrência dos referidos temas ao longo da história da revista, sobretudo do número 58 em diante. Os editoriais selecionados foram, então, relidos e estudados, visando detectar o tratamento político pedagógico que lhes era conferido pelo Conselho Editorial responsável pela sua elaboração. A leitura dos textos permitiu reconhecer o sentido admonitório de muitas análises e teses ali feitas e defendidas com relação aos rumos da política educacional do país que se estende da segunda metade da década de 1970, quando se iniciava o declínio da ditadura militar, até o presente, quando novamente se percebem sinais de um novo autoritarismo. Em termos gerais, permanece a forte impressão de que, ao longo desses últimos 40 anos da história do Brasil, a política educacional se moveu, sem centralidade, ao sabor dos interesses políticos, econômicos e ideológicos dos grupos que se sucederam no poder, sempre em prejuízo das camadas mais humildes da população.ABSTRACT: The present research examines the editorials of the Journal Educação & Sociedade from three thematic approaches, namely: Public policies in education; National Plans of Education and Education and market. These themes were defined by the reading of all 144 editorials, based on the relevance and recurrence of these themes throughout the history of the magazine mainly from the number 58 onward. Selected editorials were, then, re-read and studied in order to detect the pedagogical and political treatment given by the editorial board responsible for their elaboration. The reading of these texts allowed us to recognize the admonitory sense of many analyzes and theses, which have been made and defended in relation to the direction of the country’s educational policy that extends from the second half of the 1970s, when the military dictatorship declined, until the current days, when signs of a new authoritarianism are again perceived. In general terms, the strong impression that remains is that over the last forty years of Brazilian history educational policy has been moved, without any centrality, to the political, economic and ideological interests of the groups that succeeded in power, always at the expense of the humblest layers of the population.
