RESUMO

This research, conducted by the Processes and Methods of Teaching-Didactic Group at Pos Graduate Program - Master in Education - Hand-outs, proposes to examine the possibilities and difficulties of a interdisciplinary proposal of physical education teaching integrated with mathematics focused on the health of children in Early Childhood Education. In most cases, the child is inserted in the knowing and making things, when starting in kindergarten and being confronted with new sources of information, exchange experiences and socialization, the child has more opportunities to expand its knowledge. Health is a prerequisite for the physical and cognitive development of children in school and physical education and mathematics education contribute to it. Whereas the physical education and mathematics are part of the curriculum in basic education, and the Municipal Education Blumenau / SC does not have yet a political and pedagogical project it is relevant to draw up a proposal for integrating interdisciplinary teaching including physical education and mathematics focused on the health of the child. This research is organized in three stages: 1) theoretical map, 2) map of the field and, 3) map analysis. The theoretical map presents the theories of Theoretical Physical Education and Mathematics Education in Early Childhood Education, which identify the relevance of research and support analysis. The map of the field shows the elaboration, implementation and assessment of educational support material, which was implemented with the collaboration of four teachers and three coordinators of Physical Education in 10 institutions of Early Childhood Education, 21 classes, totaling 371 children aged four and five years. To make this educational material, it was done a study on cognitive processes: perception and memory of the child and the laws and proposed curricula, regarding physical education, mathematics and Health in Early Childhood Education. It studied the stages of mathematical modeling and interdisciplinary method of teaching. The map analysis was divided into two aspects: 1) to verify the children?s perception of mathematics, physical education and health, from the drawings of the activities performed by them, 2) to identify the possibilities and difficulties of using pedagogical disciplines, from the interview with the teachers and coordinators. The proposed interdisciplinary teaching through playing activities, helped children with the perception of mathematical concepts, as well as provided exercise for physical education in order to promote health
