The study aimed to analyze whether the distance education environment virtual learning contributes to aggregate health practices of workers in the prevention and control of musculoskeletal pain. The interventional study was the type where the same sample was the control group before and after intervention. Each subject participated in a course in the form of distance education in a virtual environment Moodle® for six weeks. Before the intervention (ongoing) subjects reported a fifteen-item instrument with health practices that used to take control of musculoskeletal pain, and at the end of the course answered the same instrument. After organizing the data into an Excel for Windows® and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)®, then converted using descriptive statistics (absolute and relative frequencies), as well as measures of central tendency and dispersion (mean and standard deviation), according to the nature of the variable (quantitative or categorical). Ethical issues were addressed as the opinion of the Ethics Committee of UFRGS number 19942. After analyzing the data it was concluded that the subjects added health practices during the course targeted for prevention and control of musculoskeletal pain significantly with p<0,05 with an error margin of 10%and significance level of 90%, but they maintained practices that used to take.
