Educação ambiental e a polícia militar : um estudo de caso no Distrito Federal

RESUMO

In the State context, the regulation question is a start point to the elaboration of command and control mechanisms - above those Institutions are created with particular attributions, according to the specificity of their activities, also supported by peculiar standards. One of the regulation mechanisms is the creation of determined criminal law that inhibits determined behavior which transgress the life normality in society, which modifies the good social coexistence. To the application of that command and control mechanism, the State, over time, creates new Institutions, like the Environmental Military Police, or attributes more and more new functions to already existing Institutions to execute monitoring activities to aim the good social coexistence. To analyze the Institution Federal District Environmental Military Police and the activities of Environmental Education is the purpose of this document. For that purpose, its History is rebuild, its practices are considered and its social actors environmental military police officers are approached. One conclusion is the Environmental Education by Federal District Environmental Military is marked by personal and discretionary performance of its military police officers.
