RESUMO

The corporate universities were developed with the objective of providing answers about the most efficient way of preparing labors. However, some gaps are still not fulfilled. This is the case of using on-line courses in self-study modality. The objective of this research was to identify the main aspects to be considered in order to utilization of on-line courses possibility the development o behavioral individual competences. Reviews in literature about organizational learning, using distance education in corporate universities and the concept of competences were done. So, three groups of people were interviewed: three managers, nine students and four counselors of a company that use this type of course. The interviews were transcript and categorized with the support of the system Atlas.ti. Thirteen categories were found and consolidated in three points: managerial, individual e project point. The conclusion of this research is that these types of courses are able to develop behavioral competences since these three aspects been carefully observed. In the end, some themes are appointed to detail this research.
