RESUMO

The present work has for object the relation between Law, Politics and Power, and as a goal to demonstrate that, more than a simple relation, they are just aspects of the same reality. First it is made a briefing on the notions of Law, Politics and Power. Then follows a critical analysis of some ideas very well disseminated and accepted in the dominant legal culture with the objective to demystify a traditionalistic view of Law as something separated from politics and from the fight for power. After that, its made a description of some facts that demonstrate this very close relation, with especial attention to the judicial activism. Finally, it is looked to demonstrate that the Law is an instrument of political actions, independent of the pretension of neutrality or the ideological specter that is chosen, claiming the members of the legal profession to recognize this hole.
