RESUMO

This search, titled - Alternative Law in law school: explicit, implicit or inexistent presence? - This is a case study that sought to detect which way the Alternative Law is present in the curricular gratings of the course of law in a public and private school, respectively, the University of Sao Paulo -- USP and the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo - PUC-SP. Initially, it was made the characterization of the Alternative Law, its history and postulates, using as theoretical referencial the Amilton Bueno de Carvalhos work. There is also a section dedicated to the Alternative Law within the legal debate. This analysis the curriculum guidelines and the course of law in Brazil, from the Empire until the present day, establishing what is and what say official norms of the country. Using documentary research on sites of the mentioned law school, was made an study of their curriculum courses and the delimitation of subjects to be examined, trying to define the extension of the presence of Alternative Law in each of them. Once defined the disciplines, it was made the confrontation with the Alternative Law, seeking its presence. One concluded that the Alternative Law can be found only implicitly or remotely implied in that courses. As this research tries to show that the Alternative Law is a way for a critical perspective on the teaching of law, its an warning: its necessary that just graduated have the chance to know the Alternative Law, transforming the Law in instrument of popular emancipation and consolidation of the democracy
