Diagnostico de processos erosivos lineares associados a eventos pluviosos no municipio de Bauru, SP

RESUMO

In the municipal district of Bauru occur several gullies of great load, unchained by surface water runoff concentration, propitiated by the disordered occupation of urban and rural areas. Considering the gravity of those occurrences, so much in number as in load, the municipal district is one of the most critical in the State of São Paulo. This work has for objective to accomplish surveys, starting from aerial pictures in four periods (1962,1972,1979 and 1996 in the urban area of Bauru) for the sub-basins that compose the municipal district; survey of the occurrences of accidents registered in the time and space, researched in local newspapers (in the period from 1967 to 1999); the study of the relationship between erosive processes and floods in the urban area, based upon rainfalls larger than 10 mm; elaboration of a dossier with all urban erosions registered. The results obtained in this work, through the evaluation of physical environment, land use and occupation and of the surveys of precipitations and erosive processes in aerial pictures, enabled to determine the critical sub-basins concerning erosive processes and sediments transport. The comparison among the rainfalls and erosive processes, searched in the press writing, showed that episodes of intense rainfall can enhance the occurrence of those processes and, consequently, of the floods. The continuity of the correlation research between rainfall, erosive processes and floods will subsidize the elaboration of a Civil Defense Plan for the urban area of Bauru. Through the evaluation of the erosive processes registered in the urban area of Bauru, recommendations of control of those processes are presented, as well as the selection of the most critical erosions for control
