RESUMO
This work presents a formulation for determining the input impedance for an antenna located inside fo a rectangular cavity having one side open. The current distribution on the antena and the total power radiater are determined using and apropriate Green¿s function and anatytic procedure from which the impedance is calculated. The problem is approchea and solved using the method of Mode Matching. Some considerations concerning the erros due to the truncation of modes of larges index used in the aproximation method are presented as well as practical consideration for experimentally verifing and applying the results.
