RESUMO

In this work we present the development and characterization of the new class of semiconductor doped glasses with nanostructure CdTexS1-x. We show that in the process of the fabrication is necessary to work on reduced atmosphere during the glass melting, only way to hold the dopants inside the glass on a state of reduction which makes possible the development of semiconductor nanostructure. Through the kinetics process studies on the nanostructures with size about few angstrons, enough to show tri-dimensional quantum confinement which makes the semiconductor doped glasses promissor for optoelectronics applications
